Message from the German Consulate General Vancouver:
“While we were riding on Vancouver’s SkyTrain, we came across this young Dortmund fan who proudly wore Dortmund’s official team logo ⚽️. Since we will be receiving a delegation from the city of Dortmund on the Day of German Unity, October 3, we began to wonder how many Dortmund fans there are in Vancouver. To make our research more exciting, we have come up with a photo contest:
We invite you Dortmund fans out there, to take a picture of yourselves with your club logo of Dortmund in front of one of Vancouver’s many landmarks (Canada Place, First Nations Totem Pole, etc.) and send it by private message to our official Facebook page ‘German Consulate General Vancouver’ on or before August 31, 2019.
Here is a link to their German Consulate General Facebook Page! https://www.facebook.com/GermanConsulateGeneralVancouver/
🏆🏆The winner will receive TWO tickets to the official reception of the Consulate General on the evening of October 3 AND a Meet and Greet with Dortmund’s Mayor Ullrich Sierau!🏆🏆
The best pictures of you will be published on our Facebook page and the final winner will be selected by our social media community!
May the most devoted Dortmund fan win! 💪”

Where is it located?
3. Is it the Official German House this year?
4. What kind of beer does it serve?
It found a sponsor in “Erdinger Weissbier” and on the last game, it will award the gigantic beer glass to the winning ticket during half-time! Erdinger Weissbier is a Hefeweizen style beer brewed by Erdinger Weissbräu in Erding, Germany.
It also has a variety of other beer, such as:
1. Stella – Through a series of mergers, Stella Artois is now produced by Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer in Belgium,
2. Kronenbourg – the Kronenbourg Brewery is a brewery founded in 1664 by Geronimus Hatt in Strasbourg, Holy Roman Empire. The name comes from the area where the brewery relocated in 1850. The company is owned by the Carlsberg Group,
3. Carlsberg – The Carlsberg Group is a Danish brewing company founded in 1847 by J. C. Jacobsen.
4. Cypress Honey Lager – Like the towering cypress trees of the North Shore, our honey lager is a coastal staple. Mild, bright and lightly hopped with a hint of Fraser Valley honey. It pairs up nicely with lighter seafoods and a thirst for adventure.
