$600 for the Entire Set!

From “Freiburg im Breisgau” city, Baden-Württemberg Land (state), in southwestern Germany. picturesquely situated on the western slopes of the Black Forest, where the Dreisam River flows into the Rhine valley, to Richmond, BC, a unique island city, that comprises a series of islands nested in the mouth of the Fraser River with the coastal mountain range as a backdrop, Wolfgang Christl built up a new life in Canada, raising a family, getting involved in the Vancouver Alpen Club, the Edelweiss Credit Union, the German Canadian Care Home, the Bavarian Garden Restaurant at the Expo ’86 site, the European Festival and many similar activities.

It all started when Wolfgang saw an advertisement in a local newspaper from the City of Saskatchewan recruiting farm labourors for a one-year contract in 1952. After a successful year in Saskatoon, he worked in Montreal, Edmonton and finally ended up in Vancouver, where he moved to Richmond. He was married in 1954 and had two daughters. Wolfgang finally started his own “Oktoberfest Enterprises” company that held authentic Oktoberfest celebrations with German organizations like the German Canadian Business Association or in local community centres and Seniors Residences in Metro Vancouver.

In 2020, Wolfgang was called home and left a legacy of so many memories behind. He also would be so happy to pass his entire collection of authentic Bavarian garments to someone else who would appreciate them. Everything from Knickers, shirts, bests, socks, shoes and accessories, along with Beckert Premium Lederhosen for only $600.

Dress like Mr. Oktoberfest and keep the legacy going for the next generation. Wolfgang would be smiling.
