Today it felt like being in Europe, without the plane ticket! Today at the Stanley Park Pavilion, we had entertainment provided by an accordion-player from the Netherlands, Romanian Treasure Group dancing, Polish Tunes singing, Blood & Iron; a medieval sword-fighting group demonstrating, and finally two dance groups from Bulgaria performing and then dancing in the middle of the big hall, inviting the visitors to join them!
The European Christmas Market, organized by the new Board of the Eurofest BC Society, took place on Saturday, November 16, 2019 between 11 am and 4 pm in Stanley Park. Last year, the same event took place in the most beautiful sparkling, albeit icy cold, sunshine. But today, the entire day was spent in the rain. But it didn’t deter any of the visitors, vendors or valuable volunteers from having a great time.
The next big event will be our 22nd Annual European Festival at the Vancouver Alpen Club on Sunday, May 31, 2020. We hope to see you all there. To prepare for this big event, we hold monthly meetings, where we help plan all aspects of the Festival. This takes a lot of board members and managers. We will be meeting at the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church at 1573 East 18th between Knight/Commercial in the basement. Anyone who would like to bring some snacks to share are welcome to. The church provides coffee & tea by donation. We will let you know the monthly planning schedule that will help us ensure a smoothly running festival. Our meetings start at 7 pm and go to 8:30 or 9 pm.
Here is a list of volunteer managers we will need for a successful festival.

Our new membership fees + 20 tickets per country are due on January 1, 2020, Membership fees are $50 per Society + $100 in tickets (20 tickets @ $5 each).
