The Waldweihnacht is a fun and popular family event to celebrate the Christmas Season. The event is attended by many members of the Vancouver Swiss Society with their families, relatives and friends.
Meet at Mt. Seymour – drive up Mt. Seymour Road until the last sharp left turn before the ski hill parking lot. See the Swiss Flag at the side of the road. Turn into parking lot of Seumour group camp site before 6 pm.
At 6 pm, the group will proceed to the forest clearing and have a good old-fashioned Christmas sing-along by a Christmas Tree lit with real candles. We will continue along the trail to a cabin in the woods and warm up by a roaring wood fireplace, sitting around tables covered with goodies. Gluehwein, hot chocolate will be served. If everyone behaves themselves, Santa will make an appearance.
This is a free event, but monetary donations to cover expenses are welcome.
