About Our Guest Speaker Pub Night
Vancouver, BC March 21st, 2017 – Beer, business and best networking opportunity with the German Canadian Business Association will be offered on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at 6 pm at UBC. We will have an opportunity to learn more about Dr Günther F Schrack and his story about becoming a professor at UBC. Here is some of his story on another website: https://arrivingeyes.arts.ubc.ca/immigrant-stories/schrack/
This event will take place at a new Mahoney & Sons at 5990 University Blvd. at UBC and everyone is welcome. Non-members simply pay a $10 drop-in fee. This is a great way to see what it is like to be a part of the GCBA.
About the GCBA
The objectives of our Association are to establish, maintain and conduct a business and professional association for the accommodation, recreation and convenience of the members of the Association and to promote their cultural, business and professional interests. We also want to further good relations amongst the German-speaking population of Canada and between it and the public at large. Finally, we establish and support or aid in the establishment and support of association, institutions, funds and conveniences calculated to benefit residents of British Columbia.
We initiate or sponsor educational meetings, guest speakers, conferences, dinners, concerts and pub nights for our members & friends in the local German community and provide information on cultural events, educational resources and business networking with respect to the German language and traditions of Germany.
